We welcome your interest in becoming a member of the Snow Trails Ski Patrol.

Since it was founded in 1938, the National Ski Patrol (NSP) has evolved from a handful of ski patrollers into the world’s largest winter rescue organization.  For more than 70 years, NSP members have devoted a significant part of their lives to providing the skiing public with skier safety education and winter emergency care and rescue services.  As a result, the lives of many skiers have been saved, thousands of injured skiers have received prompt, skillful emergency care, and skiing and boarding have become safer sports.

Locally we are composed of over ninety volunteer patrollers dedicated to providing skiing/boarding safety at Snow Trails.  Our responsibilities at Snow Trails include preventing accidents by marking obstacles, safety education by enforcing the skier’s responsibility code and by helping injured skiers by providing prompt skilled emergency care. 

In 1997, with the industry movement towards snowboarding, Snow Trials Ski Patrol has added snowboarding patrollers to our involvement with our guests.  This is just one way for us to stay involved with the skiing/boarding public.

We are all dedicated to the sport and are here because we enjoy the sport and enjoy working with people.  Our ski patrol facility is second to none, with first aid equipment and supplies provided by the area.  The building provides an excellent area to administer aid to victims.

• A pass to ski here, but when you are here, you must sign in, and will be considered to be on duty.

• Discount in the ski shop, depending on seniority.
• Purchase of ski equipment on a pro form (professional prices), after a time period.
• Family/friend ski passes after a time period.
• Camaraderie with other patrollers who have an interest in helping others, a love of the outdoors and winter sports.
